Use
The DCDCConverter (inverted buck-/boost-converter) transfers electrical energy from a DC component to a DC grid or another DC component with different voltage.
Recommendation: A fully coupled model for the conversion from battery dc to an ac connection is already available as Batt2ACInverter or for the conversion from dc to ac view the grid inverter component.
The Grid covers the following applications:
Basic: Normal configuration for dc to dc conversion
Grid Inverter: Special configration for self adjusting DCDCConverter in the grid inverter component
Parameters and Connectors
Basic

The DCDCConverter converts the DC current from the connector ▶DCin to the other voltage level of the connector :arrow:forward: DCout. The reference duty cycle value ▶DRef from the dc/dc controller (only activated when DCGrid is false) and the control signal ▶Connected, indicating whether the component is connected to the input, are passed as inputs. This is important because some components may be temporarily disconnected from the grid (e.g. eVehicle at charging station) and are unavailable during this time.

Now only the efficiency of the conversion process eta needs to be set as a parameter. If no value is known for this parameter, the current default value can be used.
Grid Inverter

When the parameter DCGrid is set to true, the connector ▶DRef vanishes as DRef will be calculated internally.
