Use

The simple vehicle model simulates an electric vehicle (or plug-in hybrid vehicle) including a charging station with a single charging point. It simulates the use of the vehicle while driving and its charging processes at the charging station.

Parameters and Connectors

The vehicle used for the model simulation can be specified with the parameter Vehicle. Electric vehicles (BEV) or plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) with different driving cycles defined in the European Artemis project can be selected here. The driving cycles are based on average consumption values that are the result of a pre-simulation of the Artemis driving cycles.

This simplified vehicle model generates a statistical usage scenario internally. The usage type must therefore be specified via the VehicleUsage parameter. Options are available for a private driver and an office driver who drive either on weekdays or at weekends (i.e. a total of four driver types).

As long as the vehicle is at the charging station and not fully charged, it is charged with the specified reference charging power PChargeRef.

Connect the simple vehicle model to a low-voltage electrical grid model.
