Use
The component DistributorNPort enables the splitting of a pipe pair of a heating or cooling system (i.e. flow and return) into a variable number (up to 5) of branches.
Parameters and Connectors
The number of branches to be considered can be specified using the parameter NPorts. If the input pipe (▶PipeInDistribution) volume flow is higher or equal the sum of the reference volume flows (▶qvRegulation1, ▶qvRegulation2, ▶qvRegulation3, ▶qvRegulation4), the reference volume flow runs through each of the specified, regulated output pipes (▶PipeOutRegulated1, ▶PipeOutRegulated2 ,▶PipeOutRegulated3, ▶PipeOutRegulated4). The remaining volume flow passes through the remaining output pipe (▶PipeOutRemain). If the input pipe volume flow is lower than the specified reference values, the complete input volume flow runs through the regulated pipes. Priority is however given to the first regulated output pipes:

However, each branch includes not only the outlet pipe but also an inlet pipe (▶PipeIn1, ▶PipeIn2 ,▶PipeIn3 ,▶PipeIn4 ,▶PipeIn5). These are combined in a large mixing valve (see MergingValve for parameters) and output as ▶PipeOutMerged.
