Use

The heating curve component determines the reference flow temperature of a heating system depending on the outside temperature. This can be used, for example, to set a reference temperature for a heating controller.

The current or average outside temperature must be transmitted to input ▶AmbientTemperature. The reference temperature for the heating system is then output via ▶RefFlowTemperature.

The output temperature depends on the heating curve database (HeatCurveTable, HeatCurveFile) that has been read in. It is not recommended to change this database! The curve that has been read in can use different slopes (Slope) or an offset can be added (ParallelShift) (see Model Background).

Model Background

The basic heating curve is defined as shown in the following figure. In this figure different slopes from 0 to 3 are shown. An offset (ParallelShift) would shift the curves on the Y-axis. In the figure, the offset is kept constant at 0 so as not to overload it.
