Use
The VolumeFlowControllerBoiler regulates the volume flow through the boiler depending on the boiler temperature.
Parameters and Connectors

The boiler temperature must therefore be defined on the basis of the actual temperature (▶TAct) of a specific water layer. A reference temperature (▶TRef), the flow temperature (▶TFlow) and the return temperature (▶TReturn) at the boiler are also required to define the controller output (▶qvRef).
The output is defined in such a way that if the actual temperature falls below the reference temperature by deltaTlow, the calculated volume flow is output until the reference temperature is exceeded by deltaTup. The maximum volume flow output is qvMax, limited by QHeatMax and scaled linearly between these two points. In order to calculate the heating capacity correctly, the specific heat capacity (cpMed) and the density (rhoMed) of the heating medium must be defined.
Model Background
Here is a schematic representation of the control logic. In this case, qvMax is 3 m³/h, deltaTlow = -1 K and deltaTup = 1 K.

The linear scaling of the volume flow output is based on the following formula.
