Use

The pump component is used to transport heating medium with a specific volume flow. It can be specified if the electrical demand of the pump should be calculated.

The pump model covers the following applications:

  • Basic: In this case, the volume flow is defined without calculation of an electrical power demand.

  • 1-phase connection: The volume flow is defined with calculation of an electrical power demand. The pump is connected to the grid via a 1-phase connection.

  • 3-phase connection: The volume flow is defined with calculation of an electrical power demand. The pump is connected to the grid via a 3-phase connection.

Parameters and Connectors

Basic

To ensure the correct operation, the volume flow has to flow from ▶PipeIn to ▶PipeOut. The volume flow to be delivered by the pump is specified via the ▶qvRef connection. The volume flow delivered by the pump must not exceed qvMax and must not be less than 0.

1-phase connection

In this case, the power demand of the pump is calculated by reading the table (PelTable) from the file specified in PelFile. This file must provide a correlation between the volume flow and the electrical power demand of the pump. Also the electrical power factor CosPhi is taken into account. In the case CPPhase=1, the 1-phase connection ▶Grid1 is provided to connect the pump to the grid.

3-phase connection

In this case, the power demand of the pump is calculated as in the case of a single-phase connection. In this case (CPPhase=3), the 3-phase connection ▶Grid3 is provided to connect the pump to the grid.
