Use

The hydraulic shunt can be used for the hydraulic decoupling of volume flows (e.g. from generators and consumers). It should be noted that, unlike the HeatStorage component, this component assumes that all volume flows are mixed.

Parameters and Connectors

One side of the volume flows (e.g. heat supply) must be connected to ports ▶SupplyFlow and ▶SupplyReturn. On the other side, consumers can be connected via ▶SinkFlow and ▶SinkReturn, for example.

The resulting mixed temperature in the shunt is output via ▶TShunt. This depends not only on the temperatures of the inflowing volume flows, but also on the set volume (VShunt) and the specification of the medium (cpMed and rhoMed). Heat losses to the environment are also taken into account using the ambient temperature (TAmbient) and the heat loss rate (QlossRate). The temperature of the shunt at the start of the simulation can be set via TShuntInit.
