Use
The Transformer is used to convert voltages between two grids of different voltage levels.
Parameters and Connectors

The Transformer connects the primary grid ▶MVPrim to the secondary grid ▶LVSec and converts the primary grid voltage level to the secondary grid voltage level. Note that for this purpose the grids output types have to be set to Transformer.

During the conversion from the primary ▶MVPrim to the secondary grid ▶LVSec transformation losses occur. Transformation losses are calculated using the nominal power per transformer Sn, the losses through the transformer core (no-load losses) PLossCore, the losses within the copper of the transformer PLossCopper, the number of parallel transformers nTransformer, and the power factor CosPhi. Most parameters (Sn, nTransformer and CosPhi) can be taken directly from the data sheet. If no more precise data is available for the loss values (PLossCore and PLossCopper), the standard values can be used.
The parameter nominal transformer power "Sn" is considered in the calculation of transformation losses. The performance-related losses are proportional to the share of losses and to the nominal transformed power. It is thus unfavorable for the transformer to work with or over its nominal power. The transformation losses and the power factor must both be compensated by the primary grid ▶MVPrim.

In the Voltage Type parameter group, you can specify the voltage level of the primary transformer side VoltageTypePrimary and the secondary transformer side VoltageTypeSecondary.
