How do you choose the right charging station model?
You want to simulate a standard charging station or fast charging station with AC output on the grid side?
Recommendation: Use ACChargingStation model. It can be an AC standard or DC fast charging point with any charging power. The AC in the model name defines the grid side of the charging station. Connect a vehicle (BEV or PHEV) to the charging station model. You can also use SimpleVehicle or VehicleFleet. The simple vehicle model simulates an electric vehicle (or plug-in hybrid vehicle) including a charging station with a single charging point. The vehicle fleet model merges multiple (up to 6) SimpleVehicle models into one.
Do not use GB_ChargingStation! This is an old AC charging station model version.
You want to simulate a charging station that can be connected directly to a future DC grid?
Use DCChargingStation model. Connect a vehicle to the charging station (BEV or PHEV). The DC in the model name defines the grid side of the charging station.
